Nevada Real Estate Schools—Helpful Info

Before choosing an approved school from our list, take note that your real estate education doesn’t stop at your prelicensing course. To remain a real estate agent in Nevada, you’ll have to complete continuing education to renew your license, both in the first year as a licensed agent and every two years thereafter.

To help you find the school that’s right for you, we’ve broken down the kinds of course packages that Nevada real estate schools offer. Below we share what you need to know about the courses available to prospective and licensed real estate agents in Nevada.

To start your real estate career in Nevada, you’ll have to complete 120 hours of prelicensing coursework. The courses are broken down into 90 hours of real estate principles and law and 30 hours of real estate contract and agency. The prelicensing course packages on our list often offer features like exam prep, instructor support, and career resources.

You’ll need some dedicated study time to feel confident about taking your Nevada license exam. Luckily, Nevada real estate schools offer plenty of exam prep materials. The CE Shop  offers its Exam Prep Edge with their three top-tier packages and they even offer a free 5-day trial.

In Nevada, you’ll need to complete 30 hours of post-licensing coursework within your first year of becoming a real estate agent. Real Estate School of Nevada offers post-licensing courses, so they are a one-stop shop for the first year or so of your career.

After your first year as a real estate agent, you’ll enter into a two-year renewal cycle where you’ll have to complete 36 hours of CE coursework to renew your license every two years. Only 18 of those 36 hours can be completed online.
