RealScout is preparing to bring eXp Realty's Coming Soon listings into its home search platform, giving agents and their buyers another way to discover properties before they hit the active market. Announced October 27, the integration is expected to launch before the end of 2026.
The agreement expands eXp's pre-market distribution strategy while adding another source of inventory to RealScout's shared search tools. Neither company has confirmed an exact launch date, leaving agents without a firm timeline for when they can begin using it.
How the RealScout integration will work
Once the integration launches, eligible eXp Coming Soon properties will appear within RealScout's existing search and collaboration tools. Buyers can flag homes that interest them, while their agents handle inquiries and coordinate next steps.
The integration follows broader efforts to bring property searches and client collaboration into agent-facing software. In August, Phantom Realty Engine introduced mobile apps for agents and buyers, extending its MLS search and client-management tools to smartphones.
RealScout's arrangement won't create a separate, off-MLS listing network. CEO Andrew Flachner explained in an October 27 interview that eXp's Coming Soon properties still enter the MLS, but not every MLS distributes that status to outside platforms. Connecting directly with eXp is intended to make more of those properties visible to RealScout users.
That expanded visibility doesn't override local listing rules. Whether a buyer can schedule a showing or submit an offer during the Coming Soon period still depends on the applicable MLS requirements.
RealScout also hasn't disclosed how many eXp listings will be available or which markets will receive access first. Although more than 100,000 real estate professionals have access to the platform, that figure doesn't indicate how many will receive the new inventory at launch.
Why eXp is expanding Coming Soon distribution
RealScout is the latest addition to eXp's non-exclusive approach to pre-market marketing. In March, the brokerage announced plans to distribute eligible Coming Soon properties through Zenlist to Realtor.com, Homes.com, and HouseCanary's ComeHome.com, beginning April 15.
The agreements allow agents to market eligible properties across multiple destinations rather than reserving them for a single portal. Participation remains subject to seller authorization and local MLS requirements.
Other brokerages have adopted different pre-market strategies. Compass, for example, has pursued broader Coming Soon distribution through Redfin, allowing participating properties to reach buyers before their active-market launch.
RealScout gives eXp another channel to reach buyers already working with agents without replacing its existing distribution arrangements. Listing agents could gain additional exposure before a property's active listing date, although there's no transaction data yet showing whether this integration produces more offers or higher sale prices.
The partnership also follows RealScout's September agreement with Zillow to bring Zillow Preview properties into its agent-client search experience. Separately, Zillow Preview listings became available on Realtor.com on September 17, expanding their reach across another major portal. RealScout's Zillow integration was scheduled for later in 2026.
With both integrations, RealScout aims to bring listings from different pre-market programs into one search environment, potentially reducing the need for agents to check multiple platforms.
What agents should check before launch
Agents already using RealScout should confirm how the incoming inventory will work with the platform's existing features.
RealScout currently supports Coming Soon-to-Active notifications when the local MLS provides those statuses and both are included in a client's saved search. Buyers who mark a property as Interested can also receive notifications about status or price changes.
The platform's reverse prospecting feature helps listing agents identify other agents whose buyers match eligible properties. It supports qualifying Coming Soon and Active listings but excludes off-market properties and other ineligible statuses.
Neither company has confirmed whether these tools will work identically with the incoming eXp inventory. Agents should check feature compatibility, listing availability, and local MLS restrictions before incorporating the feed into client searches.
For now, the agreement points to broader access to upcoming homes, not guaranteed early showings or offers. Once RealScout confirms the rollout, agents will have a clearer picture of which properties they can share and how the integration fits into their buyer relationships.
