In 2002 Brandon Wise was a new Realtor with an old problem.
The real estate CRM technology of the time just couldn’t do what he needed it to do to close more deals.
Instead of shrugging his shoulders and moving on, he decided to go with the blue sky approach and work with a developer friend to develop what would soon become Wise Agent.
A nice story, but how does his CRM stack up 16 years later? More importantly, do agents build better CRMs?
Our Take: A Place for Everything, & Everything in its Place…
Like Follow Up Boss, Wise Agent wants to be more than just your real estate CRM.
Instead, Wise Agent sets itself up more like an all in one platform that agents almost never have to leave except to scour the MLS.
Everything else, from texting, to phone calls, to drip email, to flyers and landing pages, can be done right in Wise Agent.
Even better, it can be done quickly, and with minimum complication or stress.
It also does it for a price that is very, very attractive to individual Realtors and large teams alike.
In fact, before we dive into the weeds and go through Wise Agent’s features, let’s take a look at their pricing.
Wise Agent Pricing (2018)
Monthly Price per Agent (billed monthly) | $29 |
Monthly Price per Agent (Billed annually) | $25 |
Enterprise (Custom Integration w/ API Access White Label Solution) | Call |
Bulk Texting Credits | ~1 cent per credit |
Free Trial | 30 day free trial |
Onboarding | One-on-one onboarding included |
With a per agent price of just $25 per month, Wise Agent stacks up as one of the best bargains in the real estate CRM space.
For some context, this is less than half the cost of Top Producer or Contactually, and a little over half the cost of Follow Up Boss. LionDesk, is priced identically and seems like a natural competitor to Wise Agent.
Ease of Use: Usability Trumps Slick Design
Okay, I won’t beat around the bush here. Wise Agent’s interface is let’s say, less than amazing. In fact, some might found it downright dated looking.
Of course, nowhere near as dated as Top Producer’s dreaded Windows 98 layout, but still, not as pretty as some other real estate CRMs on the market.
That said, what Wise Agent lacks in sleek design they make up in well thought out layouts and functionality that makes Wise Agent a delight to set up and use.
Granted we’ve kicked the tires of more real estate apps than you can imagine, we were still happily surprised to find Wise Agent’s features easy to find, easy to set up, and easy to use.
Features: Getting (& Staying) Organized With Wise Agent
When you first log into Wise Agent you’re prompted to fill out a profile for yourself and your team members that will share the account.
After uploading your headshot you can set up personal branding for your emails and flyers by choosing a logo and templates designed for different brokerages. You can also create your own HTML templates. More on this later.
The main dashboard is all business with the calendar smartly positioned in the center, and a very familiar looking set of options along the top of the screen to access your main functions.
What I love about their layout is they decided to keep everything easily accessible, so drilling down a million menus to get a simple task done is kept to a minimum.
Along with the calendar you have recent leads, a call list, task list, and a transaction hot list.
It’s a great place to start each morning as you can see everything you have to do at a glance. You can also set up notifications on your calendar when drip emails are sent, so you can more easily predict when your phone will ring.
Marketing Features: Programs, Drip Campaigns, Bulk Texting, Autoresponders & More
Like most good real estate CRMs these days, Wise Agent offers marketing drip automation you can assign to a lead or groups of leads called programs.
Setting up a program is very simple. For example, let’s say you wanted to create a drip campaign for buyer leads from Zillow.
You can choose from a collection of pre written drip campaigns designed specifically to qualify and nurture buyer leads, or design something custom on your own.
You can include text autoresponders, drip emails, or assigned tasks to trigger based on a schedule you create.
For example, you can set up Wise Agent to autorespond to your Zillow leads via text as soon as they come in, then set them up on a drip email campaign, then schedule a follow up call a few days later.
One great feature for calls you schedule, is that when the task pops up in your calendar, you can assign a phone script to pop up with it.
One small drawback here is that you can’t add text messages to your program except for the initial autoresponder. Of course with robo dialing and auto texting laws this might be for the best. Think of it as an excuse to call your leads instead.
Text Auto Responders & Bulk Texting
Considering how amazing open rates are these days for text messages, replying to your leads with an instant, automated text message can be a great way to engage your leads.
Using Wise Agent you can set up different automated text messages to respond to leads from different sources, maximizing your potential engagement.
You can also send templated bulk texts from Wise Agent. A great way to reach leads who don’t engage via email.
That said, texting on the Wise Agent app isn’t free. Instead, you need to purchase credits, which can be bought in bulk for around 1 cent each.
Unique Features: Customizable Email Newsletters, Flyers, & Landing Pages

Wise Agent landing page builder
Since the competition between real estate CRM platforms is so fierce these days, the arms race for who can offer the most extra features is no joke. It seems like CRMs claim to be able to do everything these days except for show houses for you.
The question of course is whether or not these extra features are useful for working agents or well implemented. Luckily, in Wise Agent’s case, they’re both. Here’s a quick rundown of the cool bells and whistles you get for your $25 per month.
Customizable Email Newsletters
Since email marketing is still the king of real estate nurturing outreach, having an integrated email newsletter is a very useful feature.
Using Wise Agent, agents can choose from dozens of email templates for different brokerages, and send out content that is pre written by Wise Agent to help nurture and convert your leads. Of course you can also integrate email marketing software like MailChimp if you need more features down the road.
Print Options: Flyers and Letters
Amazingly, almost every CRM these days seems to forget that Realtors still love to print things out! For good reason too. Marketing with flyers when few people are can be a great way to stand out in a crowded market.
Satisfy your printing jones by customizing and printing out some flyers or expired listing letters without ever leaving your CRM!
Landing Pages
That said, the coolest feature Wise Agent offers Realtors by far is there landing page generator. Using this tool you can create custom landing pages to capture emails from a Facebook campaign (including partial lead capture), make quick single property websites, home valuation pages, and even set up an open house sign in sheet.
Integrations
As you can imagine Wise Agent also offers a ton of useful integrations to get more from their CRM and add on your favorite tools down the road. Here’s a quick selection of some of the cooler ones.
Social Media
When your leads are sent to Wise Agent, the system automatically pulls up their social media accounts so you can see who you’re dealing with at a glance.
Cloud CMA
Want to send a CMA without leaving your CRM? Done.
Chrome Gmail Extension & Conversations
Since so many agents love Gmail, Wise Agent includes a cool integration that allows you to save Gmail conversations as well as add a Chrome button that lets you save contacts or emails with one click.
BombBomb
Let’s face it, video is the future of real estate marketing. Using Wise Agent’s BombBomb integration you can easily send video emails to your leads.
Mojo Dialer
Are you a cold calling junkie or thinking of hiring an ISA? Wise Agent’s Mojo Dialer integration lets you keep everything neat and organized in your CRM.
Easyagent Pro 7 Real Geeks
If you use either for your real estate website, then you can easily integrate leads from them into Wise Agent.
Transaction Management and Reporting
Wise Agent also includes basic transaction management and reporting to keep track of your deals or your team’s progress and deals.
The 30,000 Foot View
If you want a full featured CRM that can grow with your business but don’t want to break the bank, then Wise Agent is for you.
It does seem like this app is packed with features that a lot of agents will like. Thanks for sharing this and I hope you have a nice weekend.
It does have a lot going for it. Thanks for your insight Paige!
What is your recommendation Paige for a good CRM? I have been interviewing companies and cannot find what I’m looking for? Thanks.
Hey Nicola,
Not sure if Paige will chime in here or not, but Firepoint offers some pretty cool features and was designed by former agents. It really shines for teams though so if you’re on your own you might want to look at something else. One feature of theirs I really like is MLS integration.
How do people find this CRM for team usage?
Hey Annette, you can reach out to them directly to inquire about team usage. If you haven’t already check out Propertybase, as their product is designed specifically for teams. Tell them I sent you.
